How Does Atovaquone/Proguanil Work?

Atovaquone/Proguanil 250mg/100mg Tablets (Generic Malarone) are a combination of two drugs, atovaquone and proguanil, that work together to kill the malaria parasites in your body. The active ingredients in this medication, atovaquone and proguanil, are effective against the most common strains of malaria. It works by inhibiting several enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of nucleic acids.
