Heading abroad? Whether it’s a fortnight in Goa, a backpacking trip across South-East Asia, a safari in Kenya, or a working visit to a tropical region, you need destination-specific vaccinations and travel health advice sorted before you go. Murrays Chemist runs a fully-stocked private travel clinic in Kenton — a ten-minute drive from Wealdstone High Street and easy to reach from anywhere in HA3.
We’re a designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre, and our pharmacists can administer the common travel vaccinations in a single visit following a clinical consultation.
Travel vaccinations we offer
The following vaccinations are available at our travel clinic following an appropriate clinical assessment with our Prescribing Pharmacist:
- Yellow fever (we are an officially designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre)
- Hepatitis A & B
- Typhoid
- Rabies (pre-exposure course)
- Japanese encephalitis
- Tick-borne encephalitis
- Cholera
- Meningitis ACWY (required for Hajj and Umrah)
- MMR / Tdap / routine boosters
All vaccines are prescription-only medicines supplied only after a consultation in which our pharmacist confirms that the vaccine is appropriate for your individual circumstances, destination and medical history.
Travel health consultation
Beyond vaccination, our travel consultation covers:
- Destination-specific health risks (malaria, water and food safety, altitude, climate)
- Antimalarial assessment and advice
- Travellers’ diarrhoea, motion sickness and jet lag guidance
- What to pack in a travel health kit
- Pre-existing condition advice for travellers with diabetes, asthma, heart disease and other long-term conditions
Why Wealdstone travellers book with Murrays
Same-week appointments. Many vaccinations need to be given 2–6 weeks before departure, but we can usually fit you in within a few days if you’ve left it late.
Everything in one visit where possible. Bring your travel itinerary and we’ll plan your whole schedule from one consultation.
Pharmacist-led, not nurse-rotated. You see a qualified pharmacist who reviews your medical history, current medications, and destination risks before vaccinating.
Yellow fever in-house. Many local pharmacies cannot administer yellow fever — we can, with an official International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP).
Family bookings welcome. We routinely see families travelling together, subject to age-specific guidance.
