Murrays Chemist runs a pharmacist-led weight management service from our pharmacy at 172 Kenton Road, a few minutes’ walk from Kenton station. Instead of waiting weeks for an NHS referral, you sit down face-to-face with a Prescribing Pharmacist on the high street where you already live.
Our service is built around proper clinical assessment, ongoing support, and personalised care — not a one-off purchase. Every patient is assessed individually. The right plan for you depends entirely on your medical history, your goals, and what’s clinically appropriate. That’s a conversation we have in the consultation room, not on a website.
What the service includes
A proper clinical consultation. Full medical history, current medications, lifestyle review, blood pressure check, BMI and waist measurements, discussion of your weight history and what’s worked or not worked before.
Personalised, evidence-based advice. What’s clinically appropriate for you may include dietary changes, behavioural support, signposting to other services, or, where suitable after assessment, a discussion of treatment options. Any treatment is provided only after a thorough clinical review.
Ongoing in-person reviews. Weight management isn’t a one-off transaction. You’ll have regular face-to-face reviews so we can track progress, adjust the plan, and respond to anything that comes up.
Local follow-up if anything feels off. You walk into the pharmacy, not a call centre. That’s the difference an independent neighbourhood clinic makes.
