NHS Flu Vaccinations at Murray’s Chemist

Starting 3rd October 2024, Murray’s Chemist in Harrow will be offering NHS flu vaccinations to eligible individuals aged 18 years and older.

Special NHS Exemption for Pregnant Women: Pregnant women can receive their flu vaccination under the NHS starting from 16th September 2024. This ensures early protection for both mother and baby.

Who is Eligible for the NHS Flu Jab?

  • Adults aged 65 and over
  • People with certain medical conditions (including children in at-risk groups from 6 months of age)
  • Pregnant women
  • People living with someone who’s at high risk from coronavirus (on the NHS shielded patient list)
  • Frontline health or social care workers
  • Anyone aged 50 or over

If you do not qualify for a free NHS flu jab, you can still receive a private flu vaccination from us, available for both under and over 65s.

Who Shouldn’t Have the Flu Jab?

Most people can safely receive the flu vaccine, but there are a few exceptions:

  • If you are currently unwell with a fever, you should delay getting the flu jab.
  • If you have an egg allergy, please consult with your GP or our pharmacists before getting the jab.
